Project Overview The Mediterranean Food Lab is a culinary innovation brand focused on natural fermentation and sustainable flavor creation. The project aimed to redesign its digital presence through a new landing page — one that feels fresh, authentic, and aligned with the brand’s mission. The challenge was to communicate craftsmanship and sustainability while keeping the experience simple, modern, and mobile-first.

BRIEF
Design a mobile-friendly landing page that optimizes user experience, encourages engagement, and reflects the brand’s visual identity. The goal was to create a visually appealing and functional interface that seamlessly guides users through content while maintaining a warm, authentic feel.

PROCESS
Research & Concept Development: Studied the brand’s materials and mission to define the digital tone, authentic, natural, and intelligent. Created moodboards exploring Mediterranean textures, organic materials, and soft typographic structures.
Wireframing & Layout: Built the site architecture and page hierarchy, designing fluid sections that blend narrative, visuals, and calls to action.
UI Design & System: Developed a consistent design system with refined typography, modular grid, and neutral color palette accented by organic tones.
Imagery Direction: Selected and color-graded photos to complement the tone - fresh, authentic, and non-commercial.
Prototype & Testing: Tested usability and responsiveness to ensure every element adapted naturally to mobile.
CHALLENGES
The challenge was to translate an experimental food philosophy into a digital environment that feels both refined and approachable.
Brand Expression: The brand’s offline materials were minimal and scientific; the goal was to translate this into a living, emotional online space.
Content Balance: Combine storytelling, photography, and research content without overwhelming users.
Mobile Experience: Ensure an elegant, responsive flow that maintains visual richness and readability across all screen sizes.
