SkyAlign is a digital platform designed to simplify complex decision-making processes related to job matching and candidate placement. The system translates analytical data into an intuitive, human-centered interface, helping organizations visualize skills, experience, and compatibility in a structured and engaging way. It merges clarity, logic, and design to support efficient, data-driven decisions while keeping the experience approachable and modern.

BRIEF

I was asked to design a job classification and placement system that would make the process of assigning candidates to roles simpler, faster, and more transparent. The main goal was to create a clean and easy-to-use interface capable of presenting large amounts of information clearly, allowing users to filter, compare, and evaluate candidates with confidence.

Goal
To design a comprehensive, user-friendly system for managing and matching candidates to open positions. The system needed to present large sets of candidate and job data in a clear, accessible way, supporting quick decision-making and collaboration among different users.

PROCESS

Research & Discovery: Conducted interviews and workflow analyses to understand how users evaluate and match candidates.

Information Architecture: Structured the system around clear hierarchies - roles, skills, experience, and candidate attributes.

Wireframing & Prototyping: Designed and tested low- to high-fidelity prototypes, focusing on legibility and user flow.

Design System: Defined typography, color hierarchy, and UI components optimized for data clarity and minimal cognitive load.

Visualization Tools: Introduced custom charts and graphs, such as a spider graph, to display multi-dimensional performance metrics.

Iteration & Testing: Refined designs based on usability feedback, improving efficiency and user comprehension.

One of the system’s most distinctive features is the Spider Graph visualization, designed to help decision-makers compare candidates across multiple criteria at a glance.
Each axis represents a key performance or personality indicator — such as experience, leadership, adaptability, and teamwork — visualized as a connected shape that shows both strengths and gaps.

ROLE

Led the UI/UX design process: from research and information architecture to prototyping and visual design.

Developed a design system and data visualization framework for comparing candidates and evaluating performance.

Collaborated with developers and stakeholders to align business logic with usability goals.

Designed key modules: main workspace, candidate profile, comparison dashboard, and visualization tools.

Designing SkyAlign reinforced the importance of clarity in data-heavy systems. I learned how small interface decisions: hierarchy, spacing, color tone, can dramatically improve comprehension and confidence for users. The project deepened my understanding of data visualization, system design, and iterative collaboration across disciplines.
